Did I ever tell you that when I was a little girl, I wanted to be a professional cake decorator? That was after I convinced myself I wanted to be a mountain climber, but before I wanted to be a Top Gun fighter pilot. Ah, kids.

Perhaps I’m revisiting my kindergarten years, because I really want to take a cake decorating class – problem is, they’re so expensive! But I see all of this swirly icing and fondant designs and… yeah. I still – almost thirty years later – want to learn how to make gorgeous cakes. That probably wouldn’t help this anti-sugar crusade that I try to adhere to (well, most of the time).

Anyhoo, check out these gorgeous cupcakes. Flickr’s always a great place to go for inspiration. The talented people who designed these cupcakes make me want to bake every day!

So delicious looking! Thank goodness I have to go to the local market later where there is a lady sells beautiful cupcakes, including gluten-free ones. I love her Chilli Boysenberry Dark Chocolate…so good.

Really? JEALOUS! Oh wait, we have the Mariposa Bakery. I can’t complain (oh wait – I can’t have sugar – I can too complain ;) .

I’d love to see photos of the lady’s cupcakes sometime… or maybe you can get her chili boysenberry recipe!
