Happy Sunday everyone! I hope you’ve all slept in and are enjoying your relaxing morning rituals. I’ve got my tea and a good book, and am sitting in a sunbeam with my cat on my lap. It’s a little slice of heaven.

Yesterday was a busy day, though. On top of working on my book proposal (!), I hit up the Grand Lake Farmers Market in Oakland to write up a guest post at SummerTomato.com for the lovely Darya Pino, who’s in Vegas for the week. I took a flurry of photos and I think you’ll like them. Autumn certainly brought out her best for the camera!

Here are a few of my favorites:

Organic salad greens

Baby shallots

Fresh roses

Be sure to check out the post for more pictures and a tour of the market. I had so much fun doing this! Maybe I’ll start an East Bay market update on Wasabimon.

What do you think, dear Internet? Would you like me to tour our Oakland and Berkeley markets with you?

Gorgeous photos. Are those edible flowers in the salad greens? I love strolling through farmers markets even if just to look at everything.

They are edible flowers – nasturtiums. They make a lovely topper to any salad!
