‘Tis the season… for Girl Scout cookies, that is. But as a person who can have no gluten or dairy, I’ve pretty much forgotten about ever shopping for cookies again. That’s actually fine - I’ve cut out a lot of sugar from my diet, and when I feel the need, the cookies I make at home are [of course] infinitely better than anything I’ll ever pick up at the store. I do still occasionally succumb to the impulse purchase bug though, and this week, I found a new brand of supposedly delicious allergen free cookies at my local co-op. I was feeling optimistic and on a whim, I bought a couple of boxes.

Holy crap. They were actually really, really good.

The company is called Enjoy Life Foods. I’ve only tried the snickerdoodles and double chocolate brownie cookies, but so far I’m impressed by the company’s light, chewy offerings - as was my non-food sensitive husband, who ate half of them while I wasn’t looking. They also have a sandwich bread that I’ve heard good things about, but I’m not getting my hopes up just yet (plus it has yeast in it, which is still on my ‘no’ list).

Keep an eye out for these babies at your local health food store (or buy them from the Gluten Free Mall):

Now I have something to quell the pangs of longing I feel whenever I pass a Girl Scout table. Take that, evil allergen-bearing monsters!
